The primary goal of my work is to create functional, comfortable pieces of stoneware pottery that bring joy to the user and require minimal fuss in their upkeep. My work is primarily thrown on the potter’s wheel, with some hand building for variety. My glazes are prepared from recipes in house, which is a fun bit of amateur chemistry. I find it immensely gratifying to spend time creating work that produces a physically tangible result, much like a young child proudly declaring “Look, I made this!”
